5J Cinco Jotas Spanish Ham -  The World's Finest

 You can now enjoy the finest cured pork ham (Jamon) and ham shoulder(paleta) in the world. Since 1879 5J has been synonymous with quality, luxury and Jabugo - the region where the famed Iberico pigs are raised.


The pigs used for 5J are exclusively labelled as "De Bellota": which means naturally and exclusively fattened on acorn during the acorn season or "Montanera" (October to April). The vast density of gall oak, cork and ilex trees found in the "Dehesa" produce the best acorn in a very unique habitat in the southwest of the iberian Peninsula (Western Andalucia, Extremedura and parts of Portugal)

Each pig has 5 acres of land on which to roam and graze in the Dehesa. They are generally slaughtered between 16-19 months. The hams and shoulders are than cured between 24-28 months. Each cured piece is inspected regularly and only the best receive the stamp of approval from 5J. Less than 0.5% of the iberico pigs slaughtered in Spain every year are 100% Iberico puro de Bellota.
