Surtido de Navidad - Holiday Almond Treats

Surtido de navidad by E. Moreno are a wonderful holiday sweet for all ages. These almond delights are known as mantecado and are made in the most famous region of Spain: Estepa. Surtido means assorted in Spanish referring to the variety that's included in the box.

Mantecados Included:Traditional (polvoron tradicional), cinnamon (canela) , cocoa, lemon (limon) , coconut (coco) , cookie (mantecado casero), almond cookie (mantecado de almendra) , crisp almond pastry (almendrado crujiente) , wine flavored, polvoron de almendra, almond nougat (turroncillo), almond nougat stuffed wafers (almendra rellena), almond and cinnamon bars (alfajor de almendra)

Ingredients (varies with variety of mantecado): wheat flour, sugar, lard, almond, wine, hazelnut, vegetable fat, coconut, sesame, wafer (wheat flour, soy lecithin, baking soda, egg albumen), cinnamon, cocoa, whole aniseeed, liquid egg, vanillin, and lemon and nougat flavoring.
